［作品内容］
トップカバーに三列の市松模様を彫り込み 緑の熱酸化膜を形成したあと、飛石の反転側の地模様を変えて 陽極酸化膜で多色を形成。

アンダーボディには矢羽根柄を彫り 陽極酸化膜で辻ヶ花を形成。後方の鉛直部には苔飛石と地紋も同じにして熱酸化で緑を形成。

日本古来より縁起の良い紋様を施しました。
市松模様：柄が途切れることなく続いて行くことから、繁栄の意味が込められ子孫繁栄や事業拡大など縁起の良い模様となります。
矢羽根模様：「破魔矢（はまや）」の羽根が描かれているため、破魔矢とは 初詣の際に神社から授与される矢のこと、これには、「不幸を取り払い 幸せを射抜く」という意味があるため、矢絣自体も縁起物とされてます。

［商品の命名として］
市松模様に配置した庭石に苔が宿り、反転側には草花が育ってる様子を描きましたので、「市松 苔庭石」と命名しました。

「この作品を製作した思い」
従来は自由に彫り進めるように研削した施工ですが、チタンへの直線で描く幾何学模様の彫り込みはビットが滑りやすい上 フリーハンドによる研削なので施工の対象外としてきたが 、
一度は試したく挑戦した第一品目となります。

トップカバーには市松を描くのに最低三列は必要であるため、一つの四角サイズが小さく草花の表現が単調となるので 着物の小紋柄のように仕上がり、
アンダーボディには矢羽根模様を彫り、陽極酸化膜で大柄に辻ヶ花を形成して上下のバランスを整えた。

春は卒業、入学、新社会人など めでたい式典も多く 縁起物の柄で仕上げたかったので、吐出量を増大させるためのカバー前方や後方への異形研削はせず 水路内部拡張と取込み口 Ｖ字加工に留めてシンプルな形状としました。
地柄、酸化膜、形状とバランスの取れた満足できる作品となりました。

[Work content]
A three-row checkerboard pattern was carved into the top cover and a green thermal oxidation film was formed, after which the pattern on the reverse side of the stepping stones was changed and multi-colored anodized.

An arrow feather pattern was carved into the underbody and a Tsujigahana pattern was formed with anodized. The same moss stepping stones and pattern were also used on the vertical part at the rear, forming a green color with thermal oxidation.

These are lucky patterns that have been used since ancient Japan.
Checkered pattern: As the pattern continues without interruption, it is imbued with the meaning of prosperity and is an auspicious pattern for the prosperity of descendants and business expansion.
Arrow feather pattern: The pattern features the feathers of a hamaya, an arrow given by a shrine during the first visit of the year. This has the meaning of "removing misfortune and shooting down happiness," so the yagasuri itself is considered to be a lucky charm.

[Product naming]
Conventionally, this is done by grinding so that the carving can proceed freely, but engraving geometric patterns into titanium with straight lines is out of the scope of this work because the bit is slippery and the grinding is done by freehand.
However, this is the first item that we have been keen to try.

A minimum of three rows are needed to create a checkerboard pattern on the top cover, so the size of each square is small and the floral pattern would be monotonous, so it is finished in a style reminiscent of a kimono's small pattern.
An arrow feather pattern is carved into the underbody, and a large Tsujigahana pattern is formed using an anodic oxide film to create a balance between the top and bottom.

Spring is a time of many happy ceremonies, such as graduations, school entrance ceremonies, and new members of society, so I wanted to finish it with an auspicious pattern, so instead of grinding into an irregular shape on the front or back of the cover to increase the discharge volume, I kept it simple by expanding the inside of the water channel and machining the intake port into a V shape.
The result is a satisfying piece that is well balanced between the background pattern, oxide film, and shape.
